Catering events from weddings to fundraisers and small business meetings, Savory Sisters has been at it for five years.
“We began the business because we had been asked multiple times to cook for large events,” said owner Tiffany Philips. “After thinking it over for some time, we decided to give it a try.”
Phillips said she also wanted to start something that her and her sister, Heather Griffin’s, children could grow into and help with as well.
Recently, the sisters added a new storefront at 1200 W. Front Street in Blossom.
“We now offer a gift shop, florist and sweets shop, too,” Phillips said. “And, starting Sept. 1, we will be launching our ‘Dinners to-go’ specials.”
Phillips said her favorite thing about her business is cooking and seeing happy customers.
“The hardest part is having to turn people down when we are already booked,” she said.
The sisters stay booked, Phillips said, which allows them to be part community events.
“I’ve always wanted to do something more for the community,” Phillips said. “Having Savory Sisters has given us the opportunity to be a part of some very special events and moments that have taken place in Paris. We’ve met so many people who truly want to see Paris grow and prosper and its humbling to us that they want these things for us as well.”
