A local nonprofit will host their annual clay shoot benefit in mid-August to benefit the young people of Lamar County.
Lamar County Young Life is looking for 5-man teams for the annual Fish Fry and Clay Shoot slated for August 18, 2018. There are two flights planned for the day including a recreational round and competitive round.
Shooting times are available at 9 a.m. or 12:30 p.m. and the cost is $500 per 5-man team. Registration covers the cost of 100 targets, sporting clays, event and lunch. Awards will be given to the highest overall shooter and the highest overall team.
Shooters are expected to provide their own gun, shells and eye and hearing protection. Anyone who registers prior to August 13 will be entered into a drawing to win a Yeti hopper donated by Pools & More.
A pre-shoot evening of fun will take place August 17 from 7 – 10 p.m. including a fish fry plate, bounce houses and music by the Montgomery Moore Band. The cost for food is $15 which also includes entry to win a weekend at a cabin in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
