A man is in jail with additional charges after police say he ran from them during his arrest.
Around 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Paris police officers executed a search warrant in the 1000 block of 20th Street N.E.
Paris Police Lt. John Berry said as officers approached the residence, 47-year-old Christopher Atteberry ran.
“Atteberry was caught, detained, and found to have an outstanding parole violation warrant,” Berry said. “During the search of the residence, officers found drug paraphernalia and a small amount of methamphetamine and the resident, 57-year-old Russell Jones was placed under arrest.”
Both men were taken to Lamar County Jail where bonds have not been set.
